In craps, there are many different wagers. Bets are placed under four distinct categories. Line bets, single roll bets, multi roll bets, and player bets. Within each category there are many different bets. For line bets you have the pass line bet, don’t pass line bet, the come bet, and the don’t come bet.
The pass line bet is the primary bet in craps and it is a bet on the shooter to win their point number. A pass line bet is won if the come-out roll is a seven or an eleven and the pass line bet loses if the come-out roll is a 2, 3 or 12. Another number establishes the point and if that is rolled again before a seven, the pass line bet wins. A don’t pass line bet is a bet on the shooter to not win their roll. As opposed to the pass line bet, the don’t pass line bet loses if the come-out roll is a 7 or 11 and wins if the come-out roll is 2 or 3. If the come-out roll is 12 it results in a draw.
If a point is established and the point is rolled again the don’t pass line bets lose and if a seven is rolled, the don’t pass line bets win. Many people do not like when players bet on the don’t pass line because it is going against the shooter and the rest of the players because it is standard to bet on the pass line.
